Prof. Jizhou Li, PI of TIS-Group@CUHK, has recently been named as Senior Member of the IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers). As the world’s largest technical professional society, IEEE serves professionals across all areas of electrical, electronic, and computing fields, as well as related scientific and technological domains.

Senior membership is the highest grade available to applicants within IEEE. To qualify, candidates must possess at least 10 years of professional experience as engineers, scientists, educators, technical executives, or innovators in IEEE-designated fields, along with a minimum of five years demonstrating significant professional performance as defined by IEEE standards. This prestigious recognition honors seasoned professionals who have made substantial contributions to their fields and have been nominated by fellow IEEE members. Notably, only about 10 percent of IEEE’s more than 400,000 members attain the Senior Member status, underscoring the significance of this achievement.
